About

After growing up in Central Illinois listening to WUIS (now known as NPR Illinois), Jake Pedigo moved to the Front Range in 2015. He now lives in Fort Collins, where he listens to KUNC and is always looking for his next freelance story.

"In the beginning, what drew me to radio storytelling was the medium's ability to connect to the listener on such an intimate level. Now that I've grown up, I see its potential impact on the world. Every moment in public radio is a chance to open someone's mind to something they may not have thought of before. A chance to thoroughly put someone in someone else's shoes. A chance to build empathy through commonality in our human experience. That's what my goal is: building empathy in our world by highlighting the commonality in the human experience in every story I tell."
