"In the beginning, what drew me to radio storytelling was the medium's ability to connect to the listener on such an intimate level. Now that I've grown up, I see its potential impact on the world. Every moment in public radio is a chance to open someone's mind to something they may not have thought of before. A chance to thoroughly put someone in someone else's shoes. A chance to build empathy through commonality in our human experience. That's what my goal is: building empathy in our world by highlighting the commonality in the human experience in every story I tell."
